Humboldt CEO – Howard Goldman Elected to UniGroup Board of Directors
Humboldt Storage & Moving's Chief Executive Officer, Howard Goldman, was recently elected to a two-year term on the Board of Directors of UniGroup, the parent company of United Van Lines, Mayflower Transit, and other transportation related companies. The election took place during the company's recent annual Shareholders meeting in Seattle, WA. Howard is the 3rd generation to run the family business. Working his way through the ranks, Howard held positions as a mover, move consultant, operations manager, sales manager, and general manager—accumulating over 35 years of moving experience. Humboldt’s “Driver Dave” Visits Hansen Elementary School
The idea of moving to a new place with new people and having to leave everything you know behind can really create a lot of anxiety for kids. With this in mind, Humboldt recently brought our "Driver Dave" program to the 4th grade students at Lt. Peter M. Hansen Elementary School in Canton, MA. Humboldt's "Driver Dave" program teaches kids about geography, math, reading, writing, history, and road safety by having “Driver Dave” give the children a quick lesson about his job and a first hand tour of his tractor trailer. Humboldt Storage and Moving Raises Over $16,000 for Special Olympics Massachusetts
On Sunday, October 22nd, Canton-based moving company, Humboldt Storage and Moving, held their 6th Annual Humboldt Truck Pull to benefit Special Olympics Massachusetts at the Irish Cultural Centre in Canton. Over $16,200 was raised by Truck Pull participants and spectators. Since its inception, the event has raised over $82,000 and seeks to continually raise funds as well as awareness for Special Olympics Massachusetts. The funds raised help support more than 13,000 individuals with intellectual disabilities who participate in Special Olympics Massachusetts year-round programming. Missed the event? Humboldt Comes Together to Celebrate Summer’s End

Humboldt Supports Boston Police Foundation
We were honored to attend the annual 'Honoring Our Heroes' event last night in support of the Boston Police Foundation at The Harp in Boston. The Boston Police Foundation was formed to provide private financial support for critically needed resources to the Boston Police Department, the oldest police department in the country. The support from events like this help fund special equipment, advanced training, new technology, officer safety and wellness, and youth outreach programs not covered by their annual budget.
