For you the homeowner, fall is a great time to move. It’s not too hot and in most cases the snow has not started to fall here in the Northeast just yet.

Relax but be safe

The weather here in New England can change dramatically and quickly. And while those leaves we spoke about are nice to look at while they were on the trees, they can be a hazard on moving day. And if they are wet, it’s an even greater concern. So make sure before the moving company shows up that you have raked and swept any leaves or small branches to make sure they are out of the way.

Prepare clothing adequately

If you are from New England, you know you can experience warm temperatures and even snow during the fall season. While packing all your items, make sure you leave out different layers of clothing to accommodate different weather conditions.
