Humboldt Storage and Moving is moving for hunger this month

This month we are partnering with the organization Move for Hunger to help secure much-needed food donations for our neighbors and local food banks. Move for Hunger is an organization that helps companies in the relocation industry with support and guidance to maximize area food drives.

Our food drive will run from October 17 through November 16.

Everyone on the Humboldt team is committed to maximizing our food drive, and with Move for Hunger behind us and your help, we know we can make a considerable impact here in the Greater Boston area.

Did you know? 1 in 12 Children in Massachusetts suffers from food insecurity.

We know that when we have engaged in helping our community in the past, not only has the Humboldt team put passion and energy behind these endeavors but we know our network has also joined us. That’s what we are asking for this season as we embark on this important food drive.

We would love your help in any way possible to secure as much food as possible this month. Here are more details and ways you can help below.

Drop off food in the lobby of our Canton facility

We have boxes in the lobby of our Humboldt office just ready to be filled up with your food donations. We will be accepting these donations all month and they’ll be placed right on our trucks to be delivered where needed. Stop on by, donate some non-perishable items and even stick around for a cup of coffee.

If you are moving with us, tell your move manager you have food to donate

One of the best ways to lighten the load and make your move just a little bit easier is the donate items. Many families we move will have perishable goods that they choose to donate. If you notify your move manager here at Humboldt, we can arrange to pick up your food and add it to our food drive. No hassle at all. We’ll even bring the boxes!

Partner with us on our food drive

Many of our partners including real estate brokers, mortgage officers, and more are planning to help with our Move for Hunger effort. If you would like to help as well, contact our office because we have all the supplies you need, including donation boxes. Our crews will either come by, or you can drop off your donation at the Humboldt warehouse and office.
