Moving in the Summer Months

So it rained up here in the Northeast for 10 days straight. Now, we are heading into summer head on. Forecasts this week are telling us we’ll be in the high 90’s by the end of the week. It reminds me once again that well over half of all moves take place in the summer months. We’ve said it before and you will no doubt hear it again, moving can be stressful. And for us moving companies we are straight out these next several months. So planning ahead for all involved is critical for a big reduction is stress all around. A couple quick tips; Plan ahead. Always plan your move as far in advance as possible. Get three estimates and make sure the moving companies physically tour your home. Involve your children. The more you involve your children in the process, the better. Tell them where you’re going, why and tour your new location as soon as you can.
