We recently promoted New Bedford resident, Eric Furey, to the position of Field Operations Manager.

In his new role, Mr. Furey will be responsible for working closely with senior management as well as all departments with the ultimate goal of ensuring all customers that utilize the Boston moving company’s services are moved in a stress-free environment. Furey will also conduct regular trainings with Humboldt staff and work closely with United Van Lines, bringing enhanced training, customer service and moving techniques to Humboldt team members out in the field.

Furey has been with Humboldt Storage and Moving for many years, serving as a mover, packer and also as a crew leader. He’s earned the Humboldt employee of the month award as well as the Humboldt Power of Team award.

“The busy moving season will be here before we know it and Eric will play a key role,” stated James Sullivan, president of Humboldt Storage and Moving. “The quality and stress-free nature of our moves is vital to every customer that trusts us on moving day and Eric will work to insure that on every move.”

In addition to Eric, we are also welcoming Dorchester resident, Connor Duggan to take on the role of Operations Manager.

In his new role, Duggan will oversee the daily moving operations at the Canton, MA facility, ensuring all departments responsible for stress-free moves are working in sync. Duggan will oversee scheduling, planning of moves in and around greater Boston as well as maximizing employee resources.

Duggan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in economics from UMass Amherst and has spent many years in the moving industry. Most recently, he held the position of operations manager at another local moving and storage company and prior to that, served various roles at Transportation Company Re-Stream.

“Connor is bringing a wealth of experience having worked for other Boston moving companies,” stated James Sullivan, president of Humboldt Storage and Moving. “As we approach the next busy moving season, Connor is coming in at just the right moment to help make all moves as stress-free as possible.”
