 Unplug
all electronic equipment such as TV sets,
home computers, and stereos 24 hours in
advance of your move so they’ll be
at room temperature on moving day. Moving
electronic equipment in which heat is still
retained could cause internal damage.
Fill all empty space in cartons and boxes
with Styrofoam filler or paper to prevent
any movement of goods. In particular, when
packing china, glassware and electronics,
put a layer of the packing material in the
bottom of the carton first, and on the top
afterwards. Wrap each breakable item individually.
When packing books, pack them flat, and
avoid overfilling. Fill all empty spaces.
